WHAT IS THE RETENTION PERIOD FOR YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
- As a general rule, personal data is stored only as long as necessary to fulfill contractual or statutory obligations for which it was collected. This data will be deleted immediately when its retention is no longer necessary for evidence purposes, in accordance with civil law, or in connection with statutory data retention obligations.
- Contract-related information is stored for evidence purposes for a period of three years, starting from the end of the year in which the business relationship with you was concluded. The data will be deleted after the expiration of the statutory period of limitation for pursuing contractual claims.
- Furthermore, the administrator may retain archival information related to concluded transactions as their retention is linked to your rights, e.g., under warranty claims.
- If no contract was concluded between us, your personal data will be deleted immediately.

HOW IS YOUR DATA PROCESSED ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PROFILES, SUCH AS ON THE META PLATFORM?
We process the following categories of individuals whose data is processed:
- Those redirected to the company profile on Facebook and Instagram via a link.
- Those who subscribed to the company profile by clicking the “Like” or “Follow” icon directly on the company profile on Facebook and Instagram.
- Those who posted their comment under any of the posts on the company profile on Facebook and Instagram.
- Those who shared a post on the company profile on Facebook and Instagram.
- Those who wrote to us via the WhatsApp application, Messenger, or a private message on Instagram.
- We obtain your data from Meta Platforms Inc. from your public profile and posts on the company profile on the Meta platform.
- The Administrator and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland) are joint controllers of the personal data processed as part of running the company profile in accordance with Article 26 of the GDPR regarding the processing of data for statistical and advertising purposes. Joint administration includes aggregate data analysis to display activity statistics of users on the Administrator’s company page on Instagram and Facebook.
- We process the personal data of the individuals specified in point 1 for the following purposes:
- To manage the company profile under the name Bau-Technik on the social media platform Instagram, Facebook, under the conditions and terms specified by Meta Platforms Inc., and to inform about our activities, promote various events we organize, our brand, products, and services, build and maintain a community associated with us, and for communication via available functionalities of the Instagram, Facebook service (comments, chat, messages), which is our legitimate interest (basis from Article 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- For potential establishment, pursuit, or defense against claims, which is our legitimate interest (basis from Article 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- For analytical purposes related to the analysis of the functioning, popularity, and use of the company profile, which is our legitimate interest (basis from Article 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- Your personal data may also be processed based on separately granted consent for the scope and purpose specified in the content of the consent and for the time until the consent is withdrawn (basis from Article 6(1)(a) GDPR);
- Your personal data may also be processed based on statutory requirements (basis from Article 6(1)(c) GDPR) to fulfill the Administrator’s legal obligations arising from the provisions of law.
We will process the following data about you:
- Basic identification data (first and last name), the name published by you on your own profile on the social media platform Facebook, Instagram;
- Data published by you on the Facebook, Instagram profile, including your image;
- Statistical data about visitors to the company profile available through the “Facebook Insights” feature provided by Facebook under the unchangeable terms of use of the Facebook service, collected through cookies, each containing a unique user code that can be linked to connection data of registered Facebook users (IP address), and is retrieved and processed when the company profile is opened.
We may share your data:
- With public authorities and entities performing public tasks or acting on behalf of public authorities, to the extent and for the purposes resulting from generally applicable law;
- With other entities that, under appropriate data processing agreements signed with the Administrator, process personal data on behalf of the Administrator;
- With the owner of the Facebook social media platform under the unchangeable data rules specified by Facebook available at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy;
- The Administrator does not transfer data outside the territory of Poland/ the EU/ the European Economic Area, except for the transnational nature of data flow within the Meta services using contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and decisions of the European Commission establishing an adequate level of data protection concerning certain countries according to the rules specified by Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy.
WHO ARE THE RECIPIENTS OF YOUR DATA?
External service providers involved in processing your personal data include:
- An external company that stores data on a server and provides us with software;
- A provider of the invoicing system where your data is stored for invoice issuance;
- An accounting office that processes your data visible on invoices;
- A service provider that provides technical support and accesses the data if the technical work involves areas where personal data is stored;
- Other subcontractors who access the data if the scope of their activities requires such access.
